John G. Powers


Mr. Powers' experience is in business and estate planning for a diverse group of individuals and includes corporate planning, acquisitions and mergers, estate administration, estate litigation, business succession planning, and tax matters.  Mr. Powers designs and works with clients to implement business and estate plans to maximize wealth and security.  Using the various techniques made available by authorities, he works with clients and their families to minimize the ultimate estate tax payable.    Among Mr. Powers’ clients are numerous owners and prior owners of closely-held businesses, and he has extensive experience assisting in their business succession planning.  He advises them on many types of corporate transactions, including agreements relating to the purchase and sale of assets, stock acquisitions, formation of partnerships, and various tax law issues. 

Terry R. Finucane

 

Mr. Finucane has been practicing law for over 45 years and handles a variety of general business and tax matters. He has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, and sales of businesses. He sits as general counsel for a number of client companies where he works directly with the owners of the businesses in implementing both short and long term plans.

Seamus O. Hayes


Mr. Hayes’ practice focuses on general business and corporate matters as well as real estate transactions, estate planning, trust administration and probate.  He has gained invaluable and direct experience in corporate mergers and acquisitions while assisting with the representation of both sellers and buyers.  Mr. Hayes enjoys the close personal attention he is able to provide to clients in need of estate planning, trust administration, and probate services.  He joined the Firm as a law clerk in 2013 and became an associate attorney in 2016.  Mr. Hayes earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and his juris doctor from the Pepperdine University School of Law.  While attending Pepperdine, Mr. Hayes served as president of the Student Bar Association and provided pro bono legal services to low income clients through the Pepperdine Legal Aid Clinic at the Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles.
